My name is Simon. I am 10 years old. I am from England, but recently while trying to escape the atom bomb my plane crashed. Everyone in the world could be dead but I, well we, wouldn't know because currently I am stuck on an island. When I say "we" I mean the choir, Ralph, Piggy, Eric, and Sam, these are all my new friends, except the choir I know them, I am part of the choir. Back in England we used to travel around and sing at others schools or have small concerts. Jack was our leader and he is here with us. Jack wanted to be our leader but when everyone voted they voted Ralph as the leader. Ralph is a pretty cool guy. He took me along with Jack and him when they went on an adventure up the mountain on the island to see where we were and if were on an island. On the way we found a pig but for some reason Ralph couldn't kill it. I've begun to notice that life here is going to be hard. I have been dropped from an English boarding school where I was always protected by the outer walls into an totally open island with no adults or p
rotection, anything could happen. The best part is that Ralph really likes me. He lets me hep him hunt and address the others with this big shell he calls the conch. The rule is that when someone is holding it and we are having a meeting no one else can talk. I really like this idea because back home in the choir I would never get to talk because of Jack, he didn't really like me. But thats okay cuz he isn't the leader Ralph is. Overall this whole island living thing isn't all that bad.

  1. What do you think is going to be the hardest part of living on this unknown island? It's a lot different then being back in England. Everything is so much different than it was when we were there!

    2. Joining the choir would be so much fun! I don't mind my asthma, i can get through it! I just want to be part of the group and make new friends. Auntie would never be able to find out if i did join choir, so it shouldn't matter!

  3. if we didn't have the conch then there would be no order and everyone would be yelling and talking. the conch is a good thing. and also we all want our parents and in order to see them, we need to keep the fire going at all costs.

  5. I agree with you I like living on this island isn't that bad so far. And the conch is helpful because it does give us order and a chance for everyone to talk. Well it is good for now we'll have to see what's going to happen next.
